| Well it looks like the rest of the world won't be blindly following Obama's lead on climate change regulation. As future economic juggernauts rejects climate change religion, perhaps we need to change our tune and rethink the impact here at home.
As facts surface about the lack of "consensus" through e-mails between top climate change "scientists" we all should take heed. These e-mails indicate that there is little consensus, contrary to liberal public policy. http://www.ibtimes.com/article... Most importantly, we should understand that "consensus" is not "science".
Investigators have begun "studying" the 1,079 e-mails and over 3,800 documents that were hackers stole last week from the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at East Anglia University in the U.K, Rep. Darrel Issa from California told the Wall Street Journal.
Some of the leaked e-mails and files - which were posted on sites like Wikileaks.org and EastAngliaEmails.com - show growing tensions between scientists and skeptics. Others are mundane announcements of upcoming conferences or research trips.
According to his website, Rep. James Inhofe from Oklahoma said on Monday the leaked correspondence suggested researchers "cooked the science to make this thing look as if the science was settled, when all the time of course we knew it was not."
The White House Science Adviser John Holdren has also come under investigation, after one of his emails written in 2003 to Michael Mann of Pennsylvania State University, was hacked.
"I'm happy to stand by my contribution to this exchange. I think anybody who reads what I wrote in its entirety will find it a serious and balanced treatment of the question of 'burden of proof' in situations where science germane to public policy is in dispute," Holdren said.
Secondly, why were they "confidential" and why do you need a burden of proof? What is so confidential about the truth? Do we need "Burden of Proof" as Holdren states? Science requires no "burden", just proof. Obviously there is none. What is obvious are ulterior motives. Why else would documents critical to populous policies are kept out of the public eye. The ulterior motives are about funding (money and power). If there were questions about the legitimacy, funding would quickly dry up and Holdren loses his job. Further, if funding dried up, these "scientists" would find themselves out of their jobs too.
And what about the EPA? They too are manipulating supporting documents on global warming. http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2...
The Environmental Protection Agency may have suppressed an internal report that was skeptical of claims about global warming, including whether carbon dioxide must be strictly regulated by the federal government, according to a series of newly disclosed e-mail messages.
Less than two weeks before the agency formally submitted its pro-regulation recommendation to the White House, an EPA center director quashed a 98-page report that warned against making hasty "decisions based on a scientific hypothesis that does not appear to explain most of the available data."
Now EPA, under new "Management" the EPA is demanding unprecedented power given to them in order to limit CO2 emissions under the 40 year old Clean Air Act. This is not about protecting or reducing CO2, it's about power and money. But they don't want internal documents to show any contrarian opinions for fear of losing that chance to grab more power and money from the American people.
As I have written before, global warming is happening. Ever since the little ice age, the earth has been warming; long before coal fired energy plants, SUVs and Al Gore. Studies by the NOAA have come to the conclusion that there is nothing we can do to change this fact. Like Darwinism and Creationism, Man Made Global Warming is a Religion and not Science.
